Wolfstock is an outdoor music festival held in honor of the late Bob
Trout, who passed away in August, 2007. The inaugural Wolfstock was
held Aug. 23-24, 2008 at the Trout farm near Mt. Vernon. The weekend
featured bands from all around Southern Illinois and as far away
as St. Louis, Mo. The hundreds of music fans in attendance endured some
rain and humidity on Friday night and near-record heat on
Saturday, but they were rewarded with some of the finest
performances in the area. From the opening act on Friday,
"Moonbeam Lane," to the headline act on Saturday, "The Answer," fans
were deluged with entertainment. Wolfstock 2011 is scheduled to be held
in September 2011.
Clap for the Wolfman!
